Wichita Mountains Day 1

I have finally got around to posting three images I took on day 1 of my trip to Wichita Mountains. As you can see the light was fading in the shots.

Went out to the nature center this morning got there around 9AM pretty good light, but the heat was already here. Even though it was hot I still feel like I got some pretty good shots. These were shot on the first part of the Crosstimbers trail on the marsh side.

Quick Trip to the Nature Center

Took a quick trip to the nature center today. The light was kind of harsh since I didn’t get there until 10am.
Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge

This weekend I headed up to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. We arrived around 5pm on Saturday. The light on the first day of shooting wasn’t all that great, but I got some pretty good shots. Day two I started shooting at 10am and finished around 4pm. Hopefully I will make another trip there this summer and defiantly sometime this fall for the elk.
The shots below were shot on day two and are only a few of the shots I took. I will be updating the gallery as I get the images done.
Egrets on the River
Jun 12th
Got up early this morning to head out and shoot at the nature center. The water level was way up from all the rain the past few days. Overall I think I got quite a few good shots. I have some butterfly pictures that I will post in the next day or so.
